Budget legislation

The Mayor's FY2027 budget proposal arrives at the DC Council as four companion bills. Each does a different job: authorizing dollars, amending statute, or revising the current year. Use the cards below to jump into the details, or download the raw eFiling PDFs.

FY27 Bill

Budget Support Act (BSA)

Statutory amendments that accompany the budget — policy changes, fee updates, and fund transfers needed to execute FY27 spending. Subtitle-by-subtitle summary with agency cross-links.

FY27 Bill

Local Budget Act (LBA)

Committee Adjustment Ledger

The per-account ledger behind the Council mark-up — every expenditure, resource, and capital change the Committee of the Whole made to the Mayor's FY2027 proposed budget, with FY26–FY30 amounts and FTE deltas. Filterable by agency, scenario, and fund; exportable to CSV.

FY27 Bill

Federal Portion Budget Request Act (FPBRA)

The District's federal-payment request transmitted to Congress. Funds DC Courts, the public defender service, tuition assistance, and other entities historically supported with federal dollars.
